I am posting this note/question on behalf of STXBAREBACK, who is one of the followers of this blog. He asked me to pose a short note for him, with the hope that others of you would respond. His questions/comments are as follows:
What expectations do you have from anonymous sexual encounters? Are those expectations usually met after such encounters?
It's open-ended, but I will be interested to see where the answers lead.
As with STXBAREBACK, I too will be interested in reading your replies and hearing your thoughts.

When I have anonymous sex, (sex with someone I dont know in advance) I go in with very low expectations so that I will not be disapointed and that there is the potential for a pleasant suprize. I also expect that if no talk about status comes up, that my partner is poz. (I only fuck bareback and I both top and bottom)

Interesting response FunFurryGuy. For me, I halfway expect the anonymous sex partner to be Mr Wonderful. Yeah, I get disappointed a lot. But somewhere along the way, I try to find something attractive or interesting about that person. Most of the time I'm able to find some redeeming feature about them. It may not be enough to get me to have sex with that person, though. Now, expectation on HIV status? If nothing is said, I tend to assume the anonymous partner is not Positive. Unless they really look sick. It's a mind game I'm playing with myself I guess. I don't bareback with just everyone, but I will bb they say they're negative or produce a resent neg test result.
